I watched a movie the other day. It was nothing spectacular but interesting..i think. I did notice in the credits at the end that it was based on a novel and when I searched on line for the writer found he had a number of "best sellers" I thought one of his books would make a great read to demonstrate what the "public" likes. It probably wouldn't be my style, but who knows. So now a few days later I've totally forgotten the movie and the book author.

Sometimes when I have to remember something I think ok thats so easy I'll never forget that. Like going to the grocery store for one thing, one important thing that I couldn't possibly forget. And guess what? I forget what it is. I keep thinking this book or movie title will come back to me, but nothing, total blank.

Did the big long run yesterday. Felt good and strong. At one of the furthest out parts I found the path was closed from logging, I had to take another path which was more of a boring route, but then that became closed from logging too. Luckily this was a section with a few trails heading into and there was a large map there. Figured the only way I could now get back to the parking lot other than go all the way back Id come, was to add a long extension onto the run. Met up with others that were also lost or stuck. The long run ended up being a really long run. I think i put in two and half hours. Went and swam in the lake after. My legs this morning are now quite sore.

Congrats on getting in such a long run! You run fast too so 2.5 hours probably covered lots of ground. I have come to think of my memory as being pretty unreliable so I imagine that's why I have an impulse to write stuff down. And yet I don't always act on that impulse and it feels like my life just slips away forgotten.

Probably wasn't that much distance. Its an extremely difficult run with a lot of climbs so it tends to be slow going, plus trail running always ends up being slower and harder than road running.

Ive taken to always carrying a tiny note book to write things down. Im also experimenting with making voice notes with my cell phone.
