I slept the sleep of the dead last night. I havent been working out at all this last week, then did two hard workouts in a row. Thursday I ran round the lake twice with no stops at all! Then yesterday did a 20 mile mountain bike. Its amazing the difference a well rested body makes, but my legs are paying for it now. The run I felt really strong on the climbs and the bike yesterday I had more power than I've felt all season for sure.

Wrote another really good part of my book. I find once I get started it comes pretty easy. But it needs tons of revision.

Interesting dream, that I'm already starting to forget. A group of us were making our way through a kind of assault course. We had to get through it and in a certain time. One guy had already made it and was following round with the organizer. The organizer was telling him about the course and explaining that they hadnt even realized they were in a huge indoor arena. They came to the final exit door, but they were dallying around and not even realized it was the exit door and still looking for other clues. Finally when they did realize it was the door and figure out how to open it, it was too late and they ran out of time on the clock.

Next there was some sort of dream about being on a motorcycle with a side car, but I think I was running after the motorcycle. this is all fuzzy now. I remember also my old school friend Mac was in the dream. He was a bit nurdy in school, but now he was sitting all buff with his shirt off and really cute girl sitting between his legs. I knew from his confidence with her he had finally had sex, which when I knew him at school he hadn't! There was also some part of the dream where someone and it may have been Mac was interested in these two girls and they may have been sisters. He picked one and left me with the other who at first I hadn't been interested in, then when I saw her again, she had the most amazingly beautiful brown eyes, suddenly with these eyes she became the most beautiful and interesting person Id ever met.

Did a big mountain bike ride yesterday. 3 hours and not too worn out when I finished, although my legs were really sore. I parked at the lake and rode backwards around the xterra course. I can never find this route if I try to ride the correct way round the course. Backtracking I found my way with a little help from a guy coming the other way. I got onto the dirt path that leads all the way up one of the biggest ridges. It was a really long climb and my legs were hurting. I remembered all the rides I use to do, 6 gap with Jerry, 50mile dirt rides with Tim. I still have a long way to go to be anywhere near back on the form I use to be. Anyway after the big climb I got to run miles of great single track all the way down. I met up with the guy that had given me directions before and he pointed me along a route I could take to get back to the lake. All in all a really good ride.

I finished Kidnapped and Catronia. Every time I picked that book up I was whisked back into a the world of 1756. It was so amazingly descriptive. I love the language they used. It was so funny to read the mess poor Davie would get himself into with just a few miss placed words. And the dialogs of conversation that would lead to a sword fight, or at least the threat of one were just amazing. Sad its finished but excited I get to go find something new today. Ow I wonder if I can join the library, since Im going to be here for a few months.

wow what a run tonight. At least I think it was. I forgot to look at the time when we started and although we didn't start out too fast, by the end we we're blazing and my legs are toast. Six miles but I have no idea what pace.

I meant to go to the early group run at 6.00, but was busy...ok I was stuck on the toilet. But made it to the 7.00 start. Lots of faces and we chat for a while. Ex girlfriend Debbi is there, shes her usual weird self. Pretty much ignores me unless SHE wants to say something. this time she was wanting to boast about her "boyfriend" and her new house they are building as a spec house. She had to say "boyfriend" like 30 times just to get the point across. She seemed pretty disappointed that I too was about to start a new construction project.

Jeff was there too, the guy that did some of the same tris as I did last year and who had the party a few weeks ago. he still has a knee problem and so wanted to go slower, humm sounds good to me, I'll do what ever run group he goes with. Now spring is in full force there is about 3 different runs you can do with this same group, different mileage, different speed and different routes. So off we go and like I said it started out ok, but I think the combination of a new guy, (not me) and male testosterone gets everyone going. This new guy was at the back, checking out the competition I guess, when he figured he could take us he started to put a push on, this caused this one really fast guy to have to show the new guy just how fast he was and then the whole thing got out of control. It was awesome! lol. I held 4th place and kept these guys in sight, but I just couldnt catch them. My legs are soooo sore now.

Oh yeah after the run and everyone is standing around chatting, the other groups are either already there or coming in. I see Coleen and nod to her. She never did email me about going to a movie last year and Ive hardly seen her since then. So Im talking with some other folks and she comes up and starts chatting with me. Ok no biggie, its just chatting, but I do wonder what she is thinking, just being friendly I guess. She just got back from Boston and running that marathon, and she told me to come over the running store on Saturday as they are having a sale.

On top of this, I talked to Tim today and he's talking about going to the mountains on Friday to watch the Tour De Ga from Brasstown. He and a couple of guys are going up in the am and taking bikes and riding a few of the gaps before it all closes down, then heading up Brasstown to watch the pros. I told Jeff about it tonight and he;s thinking he might be able to go too. Shit ! If I go and have to ride with these guys, they are going to kill me on the gaps.

Spoke to Doug today too, and we made tentative plans to mountain bike on Sunday at Ft Yargo where the Xterra race is being held in a couple of weeks.

Well that sucks. I finally get round to updating here and then go to post and the programme locks up so bad it eventually freezes my puter and I lost everything..in the post not the puter.

So lets try again.

Workouts still going ok. Haven’t been able to bike much as the weather has been terrible. We had snow last weekend! pretty rare in Atlanta. I slept over at Debi's...no still no nookie I was in the spare room. But she woke me up and we went and walked around the neighborhood crunching around in the snow. We ended up spending the day together and then that night too! STILL no nookie. We're holding out for our trip down to Miami! Let me re phrase that...She's holding out till our trip to Miami!

OMG we've had some serious make out sessions though, with her grinding on my leg so much she had an orgasm! She was nice enough to return the favor the other night too! Just a little hand job, but it certainly helped relieve the pressure! I think I was about to explode.

Swimming is really starting to progress. I'm feeling much more relaxed in the pool and doing more and more distance. Still have so much more to do to reach even the first mile.

Earlier last year the heater went out in my van. No big deal at the time since it was 90 degrees. I figured I'd get it fixed soon. Well soon came and went. I've totally been freezing my ass off. driving to the gym at 5 am in sub zero temps. I finally cracked and yesterday picked up my new truck. I'd been watching them on ebay. Let a few go but this one looked perfect and it didn’t meet its reserve. Local guy so I call him and ask what he'll take. He just wanted out from the loan. So I make a deal to pay off his loan and the truck is mine. When I got it home yesterday I was like oh shit what did I do. The thing is huge! When I looked at it I thought it wasn’t so big, but I guess looking at it in a open parking lot made it seem not so big. But parked in my yard, its frikin huge. Full size truck with a crew cab. yeah its huge, but man it drives so nice. Totally loaded with everything. 4x4, power everything. Its the bollocks! Now I just gota get use to trying to park at Krogers!

Yowee!

Oh boy just did my first brick..no wait its not really a brick if you actually do a swim bike and run all together is it. I started out with a 1 hour swim this morning. then went home and grabbed a quick bite and change of clothes and went over to the gym. Not really a quick transition! Anyway I did a 12 mile bike and then jumped on the treadmill for a 4 mile run. I wasn’t sure how working out at the gym was going to be. I'm usually out of there within an hour or so. But since its been 20 degrees all day I knew running and biking outside wasn’t to appealing. The bike and run went really well. Although I've just woke up form a 3 hour nap! So I guess it took it our of me somewhat.

Workout stuff is still going good. Got a 8 mile run in last night and just finished a great workout at the pool this morning. Finally I'm doing 100's and feeling a bit more relaxed. Got a 3 mile fun run with Debi tonight, but that’s more a social than a workout.
