I was just going on Fb and looking at a picture Elana had put up. She was my lovely russian I met in India last year. Suddenly she pinging me and sent me a message on Fb and told me to get on Skype. We talked away and she told me she has a girlfriend who is now in Goa in the same guest house we were in and how much it made her remember me and miss me. It was really nice to talk to her again, even though her English has got worse and so its even harder to understand her sometimes, but still she makes funny jokes all the time and is so sweet.

Ran and swam today! first run in weeks since having this damn cold that wont quit. Its still a pretty bad cough, but it was such a nice day I drove up to my lovely Blue lake and thought Id have a go a getting a easy run in around the lake. It was'nt too bad and I still ran a 34min lap, then pulled the wet suit on and did a pretty good swim.

Had an email from the head guy of Cannondale in Asia. I'm not sure if this is a step in the right direction but he says yes the distributor in India is interested in talking to me. Thats about how far it went with the distributor for trek and then once it reaches India it goes cold and they wont do anything. but there is still hope that something might come of it.

My little notebook seems to have a really bad virus, the keys beep and dont do anything or do completely different things from what they should be doing. I managed finally to get it to boot up and then took some files off that I wanted and then loaded them on this computer and damn if for a second I thought Id passed the virus straight on to this machine as it started doing almost the same thing. Seems to be ok now and I can maybe take the note book in to someone that can clean it up.

My little Elana called today from Thailand. She wanted to call yesterday to wish me happy valentine's day, but with the time difference it didn't work out for her. Anyway nice to hear from her today, she sounded in good spirits and was having fun and thankful that Id recommended Ko Lak, the amazing lake I went to a couple of years ago.

Agh my legs hurt. As usual I want things to happen now. nearly 3 weeks ago I arrived in NZ and before that I hadnt run in 6 weeks. Now here I am whizzing twice around the lake, which is still only 11km, but im breaking the one hour mark now, but I still want more!! I want the run to feel like nothing, I want it to be my warm up before a 3 hour bike, I want to run it in 40 mins like the pros. Shit the pros ran it in 40 mins after the 26km bike! Ah well I am pleased I guess. Just keep on building.

I am also pleased with progress today on the mapping. Talking a bit more with Linda the local graphic designer and she has pointed me more in the right direction. I also located a company that does Illustrator training up in Auckland. Its a one day course for the basic, but it would give me a good start. Although I think Id do better with a one on one with Linda, if she'll do it. Even better I located the company that produced a really nice tourist map for Rotorua. The guy emailed me right back when I made an inquiry to find out if it was them that produced the map, but when I told him what I was after, some one on one training, he didn't reply. Doesn't mean its dead, since i did send it late in the day. If I could get with this guy that could be really useful.

Did nothing on the van today! Must do better tomorrow.
