Bit of a strange day. Went to yoga but promised I wouldnt go have tea with S and D only because yoga is at 10.00 to 11.00 so by the time I come out I'm anxious to get my day started. But somehow on the walk up the hill we all wondered into S and D's house along with H the Aussie girl. As we sat chatting waiting on the tea, S appeared with a bunch of marijuana. He said he was going to make a tea with it and started pulling the leaves off the steam. H who smokes asked what the effects would be and S was telling her it was more medicinal than and high, but you might feel something from it. He cooked it up with some other spices and it was pretty nice. I don't think I felt any different from it, and after I left I went home got changed went to breakfast then came back and did a little work. The sun was finally starting to come out, although there were still lots of differing shades of gray clouds. I wanted to get a new version of the map done and take it to be printed in Manali, with the idea of taking a nice hike on the way to town. Somewhere in there I managed to fall asleep, waking a few times with that really dead feeling and not having any concept of time. was it morning and I should be be getting up, was it evening, I couldn't tell, but then I became aware that it was pouring rain and looking out the windows from my bed the wispy clouds were forming and floating up the valley. The sides of the valley rise steeply across from my room and I love to watch the clouds drift up the valley and in and out of the tall pine trees dotted all the way up to the ridge. The clouds come in so fast, sometimes sweeping down the valley from the high peak of Rotang La and other times coming from down in the hot steamy plains of the monsoon, that seems to never end this year. Even the times I woke I couldnt stay awake and it wasnt until nearly 6.00pm that I finally got up! probably going to be up all night now. At dinner tonight the village had that feeling of winter. It seemed to be darker than normal. One of my usual restaurants was empty and there was a chill and damp in the air, then it started raining again! After dinner walking past the temple with the hot springs it was more subdued than normal, no tourists and all the shops were already closed up.

I have such a great collection of movies now. some really top ones that Ive never seen before and some of my old favorites. Watched a couple of good ones that I hadnt seen before. The wackness with what I thought was a fantastic roll by Ben Kingsley. Then last night I watched The Young Victoria. Ok nothing too fantasic about that one, but I like a nice historic movie that is well produced and that was this one with a nice love story too.

learnt a little more about pot the other day. The landlord of S and D was at their place. He is an old hippy and was explaining about the oil from the charris and how it is produced as a protectant to the plant from the heat of the sun. So because of the amount of rain this year, he says it means the plants wont produce as much oil and the charris wont be as good. What an amazing plant
