Failed trip to Leh, Ladahk, India.

3 days out from Manali in the foothills of the Himalaya and after fighting our way through muddy roads and raging rivers, continuous rains brought us to a halt with a 3km landslide 200km from Leh. When we finally got news 2 days later that the landslide was cleared, we were then told we wouldnt be allowed to enter Leh as it was now a disaster area, with 60 dead and 600 missing from mudslides that tore through the city.

I don't have a camera anymore, or rather my is broke. So was really lucky that both times Ive gone to Leh Ive been able to borrow a camera. These pics did turn out well, although I felt bad about just standing there taking pictures while perfect strangers helped my guys get the bikes through.

3 of the guys are part of the support team, and non have email. But Im going to print the pics to give them. The guy at the front on the first pic, was a really nice guy from Pune. We had helped him earlier that day when his bike wouldnt start and we all thought at that point that we'd meet up again in Leh. I think he and his friends must have turned back, as we never saw him again.
