rogerdogerNice day yesterday and I drove over to the beach! So nice to feel comfortable about driving places now. turns out the beach is only about 40 mins from here in Rotorua. In the distance you can see Mt Maunganui where I did a couple of runs to the top back in 08. There is supposedly a nudist beach somewhere along here, but I never saw it..anyone.
Got back to Rotorua and was so sleepy, driving always puts me to sleep. But managed to drive straight to the redwoods and get out and run. Pretty good run and I pushed pretty hard on the climbs and stairs which had my legs having that weird feeling where they feel like they are floating and you have no control over them! After the bike Friday and the run yesterday I do feel some power back again, but just shows a taper of a week isnt going to be enough, so I must stick to the plan of two week taper and NOT over do it in those 2 weeks. So this is the last build week I have and I want to do some lactate threshold work.
In the camp site office there was a new map delivered, its for Taupo another major tourist town about 70km from here. Really nice map, but it only has 11 ads! They have a website that has the same ad's. How can they make money with so few ads?
