swam for 40 mins in the pool. really need to do that more often, it was hard work for only maybe 1500 meters. Went and picked up my road bike from Greg and Rae's. Nice chat with them about their toys. I cant believe how many cars they have! Its so cool though that Rae is as much into racing than Greg is. The 300zx's that he built are really bad ass, Id love to take one round the track. Greg also gave me some tips about getting my van through the WOF and he recommends I take care of even the small rust on the doors as this might send a warning signal to the inspectors to look more harshly on it, even though those themselves wouldnt warrant a failer. Maybe this is why Ive been dragging my feet on taking it in. That 6th sense that kicks in telling you not to do something.

After the swim I really thought i was done for the day even though I needed to run today too. I managed to drag myself over to the redwoods forest and get out for a run. Since its a course I havent done, it meant I didn't know where I was going or how long it would take. I thought I could be back in 30 mins, but ended up doing a pretty good run for an hour. Totally helped by the amazing scenery. Those giant redwoods are just so majestic and even magical, you get a strange feeling when you see such beautiful trees like that.

Might be a big storm moving in here tonight. so not sure if I can bike tomorrow.

I haven't seen the redwoods in years, and I miss them. YOu may have inspired my next mini vacation.

You did tell me you'd been to New Zealand I think, but I forgot. What was the story with that? Its a hell of a way to come for a mini vacation. Maybe California redwoods would be better, they are even more spectacular too.
