ouch, ive completely blown my legs out. I ran this evening and wanted to do two laps around the lake, yeah why not up my run 80% in one go, great idea. At the end of the second lap my right leg was having a few issues, calf cramping and thigh cramp, then pain in my knee. I did walk some of it, but I guess it was still too much. Dont remember it ever having come on so fast like this before though. I guess maybe my legs were already really tired and this just kicked them over the top. I need to keep frozen peas in the freezer!

Time for a soak in the epsom salts.

(and I'm just excited that I'm allowed to do spin class again. Now if I could get better and passing on the ice cream....)

no bathtubs here, but I should pop down to the awesome hot springs down the road. probably some good soothing minerals there. Good to hear about the spin. Have you tried substituting the ice cream for a really good yogurt?

last year I substituted the ice cream with frozen fruit. Right now the problem is I don't care enough to do that. Where before I could use the mental crowbar of not wanting to run "weighted down" I currently don't have that incentive. I try reminding myself I'll have to lose the weight again but when there's no certain "allowed to run" date that mental exercise loses against the "fuck it, I want ice cream" thought.

Hot springs nearby, eh? Sounds fabulous! That should help those sore muscles:-D

There's only one reason a man approaching 50 suddenly thinks that upping exercise regimen by 80% is a good idea.

Dude, just get back with Elana (?) already! :-)

we are back, we're just not together :(

And staying fit for someone else has never been my motive, you should at least know that about me by now! :)
