Sep. 15th, 2010 11:34 pmThe apple season harvesting seems to be almost over. Now its time for pot harvesting! Marujana grows everywhere wild here. I'm told the quality isn't that great, but the locals smoke it on a regular basis and today I even saw kids harvesting it. Here they call it charis and they take the leaves and roll them in their hands to get the resin off then I guess scrape the resin off their hands and put it somewhere. I do like the smell of it, both growing on the bush and when its being smoked. Just need to be in the right situation with the right person for me to smoke some. Pumpkins are also in season. All of a sudden huge pumpkins appeared on the vines of the roof down below my windows.
I forgot to mention the other night H the Isreali girl was leaving the next day and wanted to do Reike on me as up coming birthday gift. i tried to put her off telling her I really wasnt going to be the right person as I thought it was utter crap. I wasn't quite that brutal, but when she asked about it again I realized she hasnt done this on anyone since coming to India and its sort of important for her to feel that she can do it, more than for how it makes me feel. So I agreed. My conclusion hasnt changed any, but I will say anytime someone spends an hour making you lay in complete silence and completely still you are going to feel somewhat relaxed and "spiritual". So I was at least in all honesty able to say I felt good and she went away feeling she had some miracle power.
I messed up and booted up AI while I was online, this has now shut the program down, so I need to go back down to computer guy and have him reload the program yet again. I took the day off from it today and focused a little bit on getting the website pages together.
The noisy Russians that were living upstairs and driving me crazy moved out the other day. Sunjee offered me the room so I wouldnt have to deal with anyone else stamping about up there, but I dont like the feel of the room and its more expensive. Now I'm paying for it as someone else has just moved in. Hopefully just for a few nights and then it will be empty again. Its pretty much end of season here, so people are leaving more than arriving. I really need to think about what Im going to do in this last month. Going to Amritsar and Rishikesh would be great, but now with no camera it kind of sucks. Im not sure its worth going all the way to Delhi to get a camera and see the printer if I can't also get to see a graphic designer too. plus its so close to me leaving it seems silly to go all the way down there when I'll be there in less than a month anyway. Its not a pleasant trip, 15 hours on the bus each way, why do that 3 times! But means I have no camera and so should I go to these other places?
