reverted back to playing with the pen tool only today on Illustrator. Its pointless clicking around on loads of things if I dont understand any of it. So just learn one tool at a time. At 4.00pm I finally got out to ride. Decided to take the mountain bike on the road. Since my legs were still sore I thought maybe an hour would be good 30 mins out then turn around and come back. At 32 mins I wondered if I could make it all the way around lake Rotorua, it looked like i was nearly half way round. But the view was deceiving and when it was too late and I was too far round to turn back I realized how much further I had to go. Luckily right then a guy comes past me on a road bike. He wasnt going much faster than me and I thought might be good to tuck in behind him and maybe ask how much further it was to Rotorua. He said it was like 10km. This would put me a little further than half way round, and he said it was fine for me to draft on him. he was a big guy so he made a great block and we spun nicely all the way into Rotorua I ended up finishing in 1.32 for 27 miles with 33mph max. Not really what Id set out to do, but great ride and I really liked being on the road again. Can't wait to get the road bike back again now.

Canadian guy and his family are here in a camper. He came over to NZ to do the Ironman next week down in Taupo. I really should go down there and check it out.

Ah right, so I get a email from Virgin that they will refund my money. Ha too late I already had the payment canceled. But where is my apology, where is the reason these dumb asses made me buy the ticket, where is any form of compensation? I wrote back today to ask. I did another search too and came across a guy that had been screwed around by them back in 2006. It was a big long story and about 9 pages of people making comments. One guy cut and posted a letter that was written by a journalist in Australia who had also been miss treated.It was a beautifully written letter, and made me think how well a good journalist can write. It occurs to me that the airlines do this all the time and they like so many companys now have introduced the "customer service" as basically a professional fob off team. They carefully craft letters of concern and regret without admitting anything. They point you to page after page of their contract small print. "oh you didn't read this about "we dont give a fuck?"" They have it down to a science. Dont give the customer anything, run them around until they give up and go away. What was more sad from looking on these posts was the fact that everyone is resigned to this and even expects it.
