Went out to run around the lake, was hoping to get three laps in. First lap I felt pretty bad, legs hurt and were slow, second lap felt better. I realize that its only 30 mins round the lake and with cross country especially with this course I go out from the lake shore and straight into a climb, so it no wonder it hurts when I start. Anyway I really didn't think id be able to do much more than one lap. so was pleased I made it to two, then rolled straight into the third without much effort until half way in, then it hit me and things started to hurt. I figure the race is 12km two laps, I need to be at double that on a long training run to be comfortable. Same with the bike. I did 32km on the bike yesterday and the race is 29, So id still like to hit a 60km ride in 4 weeks. I think thats do able. Somewhere I need to throw a swim in there too.

Elena sms'd last night right as I just switched the light off. I was just too tired to get up and fire up the computer again to talk on Skype. then she sms's again. I didn't want to look incase it made me want to talk to her, but she had sent a little message saying she was feeling better from her back ache and had stayed in Malaka at the guest house Id recommended and rested up. Shes on her way back to K/L and then to Vietnam for a couple of weeks. I wish I could be traveling with her.
