Race weekend..again

Ok this is the big one. I knew it was big but I guess I didn't realize just how big. All the top international players will be there. Conrad Stoltz, Melanie Mc Quaid, Candy Angle. Im going to drive out to Alabama tomorrow and hopefully get to swim bike and run on the course. I say hopefully because it looks like the park is closed in the morning for another race and they are having the Xterra expo there in the afternoon. I still havent booked a hotel room. the place near the park was booked up and everything else is like $120. Come on people this frigin Birmingham, I cant believe that town has got that expensive now too. Hopefully I can drive out and just find something on the way.

Met with the framer today. he speaks reeeeaallyyyy slow, like a good ole boy, but when I met him, he obviously knows his stuff and got to grips with the plans right away. This was probably one of my biggest fears, that I wouldnt be able to turn my back on these guys for a second and have to check everything they did. Now the biggest fear is the fact that the fucking house goes five and half feet over my set backs!

Looked at the neighbors house that they wanted to buy. Nice place in a great neighborhood, but it had had some fucked up work done to it and the kitchen and bathrooms were a mess. theyd need to spend 100k in round one just to get it livable then another 100k down the road when they want to complete the build out in the attic. technically they would still come in under the comps in the area, but they have to decide if they want to carry that big of a mortgage. Its a bank foreclosure and the bank wont even look at offers under 350k

I have a bunch of replies to posts I need to make, but im too tired tonight. I'll be taking the lap top this weekend so dont go thinking I wont be watching, and I'll catch up on replies.

You should give it a go. Seems like most arnt that good at the biking and youd get such a good lead in the swim then make up more time in the run. The events are so much more laid back too.
