May. 2nd, 2007 09:40 pmFunny, all morning I kept thinking I was supposed to go swim, then I realized it was Wednesday and I dont swim till tomorrow, how can you forget that you just swam the day before?!
Going to drop by my brothers job tomorrow and see him, maybe run him over to look at my lot, which the lender called today to tell me that its now going to be next week until we close. But it looks like its all go! Wow I pulled it off. Have an appointment with the web designer next week to set up a web site for the house, so you can see it as it progresses.
The run tonight was tough, started out ok and was chatting with Dan who I hadnt seen since the winter. He had a terrible run in the atl marathon. well terrible as in he ran it an hour over his PR which was a 3.30. We chatted for a while then on turning the corner for the first big hill, he dropped off. Two guys came past and I tried to hang on to them, but couldnt, my legs are pretty well toast at this point.
Still want to mountain bike tomorrow, maybe rest on Friday then swim/ run saturday and I think the stockbridge 50 on Sunday. Hope I can get hold of Jerry to that with.
Weekend after next is the Peachtree Oly. Had an email today that there are still places and its got a limit of 300. I think I'll do it just to see how I do in an Oly. i think thats the weekend of another xterra, or maybe it was a mountain bike race, I know it was conflicting with something.

Date: 2007-05-03 11:35 am (UTC)Last year was my first year of tri's, I did 4. A half iron, then a xterra, a sprint, which was the first tri I had ever done the previous year, then lastly I did another half iron, but my leg spassed out on the run and I didnt finish.
I did really well on the half, but it was so much training, although Im nearly up to that level again now. This is where the girlfriend problem comes in. I just dont seem to be able to combine the two.
So I thought I should give it a go and see what its like. From what I've heard its not a total all out sprint, but its not all the training like for a half.
The sprints arnt really that frenzied. They are all so well organized that everyone keeps their place and its just fun..and over soon!
You might well come out of the water with the first, but the swim is never going to win you the race, or even place you. Its too small of a percentage of the race.

I wouldn't care to change the station either. The song suits me just fine.
