So here I am back in Australia again.

R was pleased to see me, and we've been having a great time. She laid on a really nice birthday for me, with a trip up to Cape Tribulation. Before we left we had a few errands to run, one of which was to a shop where she had ordered a lemon meringue pie! She had remembered a previous conversation when I told her it was my favorite cake and one that my mum had for a time made traditionally for my birthday. Ive been eating the thing for days! Oh really funny, but maybe not so much for her. When we picked up the cake it had this lovely tall crust with mountains of meringue. I drove home with R carrying the cake on her lap in a box. We got home and as she got out of the car she dropped the box and it flipped upside down. The pie was flattened! and the poor dear started crying. To make it worse when we packed everything to leave for the 3 hour drive I put the pie at the bottom of the cooler and when we got to Cape Trib loads of the ice had melted and the pie box was flooded. That poor pie went through hell! Still tasted good though.
We found a beautiful deserted beach with great swimming. It will soon be the rainy season and also the jelly fish will be migrating down this way, but for now the swimming is perfect.

R even ended up stripping off nude to swim and sun bath with me. She talked about what a great feeling it was for days, so i think she is a convert now.
Only saw a couple of other people the whole day and the usual strange creatures.
