more about Melbourne and biking
Jan. 24th, 2010 08:56 pmRiding today and another cycling memory popped into my head. When I first met Tim he was riding was a guy James. All three of us use to meet up at the beach in Stockbridge and do a wednesday night ride out there. I cant remember what time of year we were riding, but we used lights for a good part of the ride. At the end there was always a lactate burning sprint up the last part of road to the car park. I always lost to those guys, I never use to do lactate threshold training like they did. Today riding I could feel that burn and thought of them, made me want to get out of the saddle and hammer it which I did at the end of the ride. Wimpy effort for sure. Would do me good to start ramping up some lactate threshold workouts, races always demand a high endurance for pain!
nude beach was the busiest yet. Some nice bods out there, but didn't get much of a look at them. I really love nude beaches. walking into the sea and swimming nude is awesome. The water here is really nice. Melbourne sits in a huge protected cove, so the water is never very rough and it stays the same depth for a long distance out so i feel much more comfortable swimming without the feeling that im going to get sucked out and drown,,naked
