rogerdogerNice big ride today. was probably not more than 40 miles which really highlights how much work I have to do to get back in shape. But my legs worked well and got me to the top of this huge lookout mountain top 60km out of Melbourne.
It was probably a mistake, but I gave the old ex girlfriend Chris my cell number here in Aus. She called while I was huffing it up the big climb, fortunately i was out in the country enough that the reception shut off.
Ive been staying at HelpX places here in Melbourne. both really nice places. first one was a B&B. Woman was a little odd. She never once commented about the work I did and I did a ton. Re sided rotted siding on the house. Fixed leak in shower that they couldnt find. Patched rotted window and hooked up a pump to an irrigation system. The place Im at now is out down the coast. Its also a really nice home. Staying in these places is making me want a real house again and things. I will say Im a little sick of Help X in that people expect me to be able to re build their house with only a hand saw and an old tube of glue that has dried out. Im not joking, all three places the one in Perth and now here in Melbourne they say "oh this will be easy, I have all the tools" and it turns out they have nothing. Is really frustrating for me to say the least.
Made it over to the nude beach today too after my ride. Was the most crowded beach Ive seen yet, probably because it was a really nice day. the water at this beach is perfect too. Its shallow and really calm, just right for swimming, shame i forgot my goggles. Other people on the beach were of the kind you dont really want to see naked. Although there were 3 interesting Thai women that were nice to look at, they were with old fat Australian guys though.
