I rode round the lake yesterday, not sure about the time, as on the last ride the magnet on the wheel from the trip computer contacted with the sensor and they exploded across the road. I found the sensor, but never could find the magnet. Kiwi's are so cheeky. While I was looking for the magnet, walking up and down the street, a girl walked past with shades on. I looked at her and she looked me up and down and with twisting up of her lips into a saucy smile, raised her eyebrows twice in a "woo hoo" sort of way.

On yesterdays ride I stopped in town at my LBS to ask if they had another magnet. I started out on the ride tired and a little sore, but things loosened up and soon I was feeling really good. I really like riding routes Ive ridden before. I can gauge my ride by how I feel on this hill or that. Yesterday i noticed I was much stronger on the whole ride. every climb, I wouldnt say I was powering up, but I wasnt crawling up either as i had been before. When I was at the LBS i asked about a crit I'd heard goes on in Rotorua. Sure enough it was that day out at the industrial park only 1 mile or less from me. I rode out there last night on the mountain bike and way past the starting time of 6.15. I was really surprised at what a good turn out it gets and some serious riders too. Unlike the Atlanta crit they split this one into a number of cats. Not sure how many, but the first group came round looking really serious, about 15 in the pack, followed by a larger group at a slightly slower pace. Then it seemed like there was one more group. I only stayed a few minutes just to see what they were up to. I really want to give it a go next week. I use to love the speed and cornering of a crit and the fast pace in a group will be good for me.
