two hour mountain bike ride today. Weather turned yet again and was threatening rain all day. Wasnt too cold though and I sweated my ass off on the ride. I started out really strong, my legs felt rested and I pushed in the big ring for all the hills. Then my legs started to scream and there was no coming back, I was pissed that on the big Red Tank Rd climb I had to drop down into the middle ring, but then I actually got dizzy and thought Id really over done it and went all the way down into granny and spun easy for the rest of the climb. At the top it levels out and you can recover for a minute before the next big climb aptly called frontal lobotomy, which makes you feel like you'd ilke to yank your brain out. I managed that all the way in the middle ring, but then even on the decent felt really worn out, the rest of the ride was nothing strong but probably stronger finish than I have done so far. I'm pretty sure I said this last year, but I need/want to be riding twice round that same course, or putting in a 4 hour ride at a good pace. I realize last year I was still very much under trained.
