Great, my conjunctivitis has moved to a chesty cold. I've just realized that if I go down to Delhi this week I have the weekend to get through before my flight on Tuesday. Means I can't see any of the business people I wanted to see, so I'd either have to go down in the next couple of days, which was the plan, but Im thinking I don't want to spend that much time in Delhi, plus since ive been sick I'd like to get totally back on my feet and there are things I still need to do here. So next thought is go down on Saturday, that gives me Sunday to get settled and sight see a bit, then monday to see printer etc. Ok good thats sorted!

Ive mentioned this before, but my brain is such a weird thing. Most of the time I hate that it wont remember things it was told just a second ago. A number, the spelling of a word, the name of the cute girl in front of me. But then other things it seems to have the capacity to recall in every tiny detail for years and years. I’ve been playing this game lately where when I wake up, I keep my eyes closed and feel the room and environment around me, the bed, the light coming in from the windows, the strength of the sun, noises. Then I let my mind recreate other bedrooms I’ve woken up in. Its amazing Ive been able to transport myself right back to places and more amazingly feelings from years ago. I can lay here and remember the way the sun hit me in the mornings in my apartment on Myrtle St, the light coming in from the tall old leaky sash windows, playing across my face. The heat as it built up against the high ceilings, the whir of the ceiling fan, and the noises of the birds and neighbors. Or my last little house on Dearborn St, with the soothing green of the walls, the feel of the sheets and pillow, the knock knock of the woodpeckers. Interestingly the only female I tried to remember being next to me was my cat!

In the same vein the book im reading is the worst kind of book for my brain. Its similar to The Pin Ball Effect, its all facts, dates and names. I love it, but I know I wont remember a thing Ive read the second Ive read it. My brain is so messed up. I have two eye drop medications I have to take 3 times a day. I have to take one eye drop then wait 30 mins to take the next. If I put the bottles, which are quite dissimilar, next to each other do you think I can remember which one I took a few minutes ago! I have to put them at one end of the counter, then when Ive taken one put it back and put the next one at the other end of the counter. Even then Ive been caught out and had to think was it the one I left out means thats the one I took or the one I need to take?

Had an email back from the editor of the travel mag who has given me the green light with a deadline for my biking in Melbourne article. Cool! Along with that a friend I met traveling who writes for a NZ magazine has a friend who is starting a male whore house! I kid you not. Its the first in the world aimed at only female clientèle. Anyway they want what my friend describes as a silver fox and she recommended me. Its being filmed as one of those reality shows, although the show is only filming the hiring process. I told her Id want a bit more information first before I say yes or no.

Going to dinner in India is always such an interesting experience. I'm really boring these days with my eating. I can eat the same thing everyday forever, and I do. In the morning I have a cafe that I have papaya lassi, two poached eggs and 4 pieces of toast. I take my marmite and set two of the pieces of toast aside for that, then put the eggs on the other two. Ive finally trained the staff how to cook the eggs so they arnt boiled hard, or scary runny soft. I can walk in the cafe and don't have to say anything, they know exactly what I have. For dinner its a little more complicated. Sometimes I change it up a bit, but its usually between chicken clear soup and Biryani or chicken tika masala. Ive had to get on them a few times about the masala, as sometimes it can be really good and other times has not. I found out last night that they make a big batch of it and of course because its India there is no set way of doing it that they follow so sometimes it has this in and other times that. Last night had an extra ingredient, a piece of glass! I told Wini the waiter that that would be about $50,000 in the US. They all put on faces of utter surprise and shock and what they think happened is Pinki the owner got mad yesterday when one of the staff members didn't show up and smashed a glass in the kitchen and that maybe it was a shard of this that went in the masala pot! Good to know.

Ok that was long winded wasnt it.
