(no subject)

The weather is miserable today. Its gray and actually cold, quite a change from yesterdays sun which when it pops out its blazing hot. Its rained everyday at some point, and today I just saw on the news that Delhi is flooding with worse to come as the rains sweep down from the highlands. This is doubly bad as its causes havoc with the attempts to finish the stadiums and road works for the Common Wealth Games in less that a month. There has already been so many problems with the games, and now the buildings are collapsing before the event has even started.

Map

Played around with the map a little more today. This is only messing around with learning the program rather than a real example of the map. Its still only using the basemap before its been traced so thats why its a little fuzzy looking. The ad spots I just laid out manually so they arnt spaced accurately, not sure they are even the right size as I seem to have been able to squeeze in more than I though, but like i say its all just practice stuff at the moment. Was working more on getting a good legend together. Again there are so many tools in AI that would have made this process easier and I really only understand a couple of them. Im pretty sure I got all the layers wrong, so if Id wanted to go in and change things it would be a laborious job. I contacted another graphic designer today in Delhi. This guy has a lot of good experience, but not sure if he knows much about maps. At least he answers emails! The girl from Elance seems to have flaked out.
