(no subject)

Crap I have got to get to bed. Race tomorrow and everything sorted. Picked up the wet suit, went over and rode a bit longer than I should and then talked longer than I should but it was research. At the parking lot to the mountain bike course was a guy that owns one of the bike shops that advertises a lot on two of the local maps. I got talking to him in a cagey sorta way and he told me they pay more like 800 to a 1000 per year for those ad spots, not 400 like the indian restaurant told me. That makes much more sense and really opens things up for me. He also told me about some of the sleazy goings on with both of these companys, so looks like the door is wide open to scoop up the business.

After my chat I headed over to register for the race then up to the lake for a swim with the rental wet suit. I swam ok, but having arms and I think the suit might be a bit too small, really made me shoulders ache. Not to worry, Id rather have that and go slower than be freezing my ass off. Although still looking like it will be an awesome day.

Been emailing with the international marketing director for the luge here in NZ. Found a place in India that had their name written all over it and have been trying to get this guy to bite for months. Now he suddenly seems to be interested and wants to meet with..maybe just to tell me to stop emailing him! haha
