(no subject)

Did my first brick yesterday. I drove up to Blue lake and started the bike from there, over the xterra course. But what Id forgot was they were logging on part of the course and have the trails closed. It was late and I knew trying to find my way down all the trails back to the lake would be hard, so I had to ride back up over the mountain the way a came. Got back to the van and thought Id at least go out for 10 mins, but ended up doing a whole lap of the lake. about 2.30 on the bike and 40 min run. It was a bit of a run walk, but still a good effort. I was totally shagged when I got back and today since it was a cloudy dull day, I stayed in the van all day and didn't move. Even so, around 5.00pm I got so sleepy I had to lay down and then passed out for a couple of hours. It was one of those oh so feel good deep sleeps. This might have been partly due to waking up and getting up at 6.00am for some reason. Course now its 11.00pm and i'm not really tired. Also got a huge crowd of school kids of some sort at the camp site that are making a hell of a noise over the whole park. I think I might have to leave for a day or two. I don't want to listen to this all night. I think they are here for some sort of race.

If I don't get my head out of my ass, a lot of shit is going to suddenly fall on me. April is approaching fast and soon I HAVE to make a decision about what to do about the van, what to do about getting Illustrator up and running again and what to do about Cambodia and Vietnam. Looks like I'm arriving in the start of monsoon. But its hard to know, sometimes its late. I think my best bet is to leave everything in K/L and go to Vietnam with nothing, then buy a cheap local bike and ride it. If its raining really bad, then I can make a change then and no harm done as I haven't dragged any bike or bike gear there.
