I'm feeling quite wiped out. I did my long run, but with so much fewer walks. Felt good all the way through, but I'm so tired now.

Its strange that I still get such huge lactate burn. I think its something to do with the build up of continued workouts, even a day off wont fix it. I think this is why a taper is so important, to fully rest your body ready for the huge race day.

Im still not training at a high enough intensity. I did a long mountain bike ride yesterday of just over 20 miles, but I still find my self cruising in most of it. Come the big tri and I have to do that distance flat out then run after! But all in all I really see an improvement over these weeks. I really can't expect to be at the level I was 3 years ago when I was training full on for a year. Its only been 2 months. Scary that the race is now only 2 months away, which means only 6 weeks training then taper for 2 weeks....I think.

Went over to Toni's last night. We all went to the crazy golf down the road. The good thing about Rotorua is there is tons of things to do that are family orientated, thats why they call it Roto-vegas. Some tantrams from the kids. Sometimes I cringe at the way Toni handles them. If you swear at your kids how can you expect them not to swear too. But it just seems to be part of Kiwi life, everyone swears in daily conversation as if it was normal. But the trouble starts when adults suddenly start telling their kids not to swear, talk about sending mixed messages. I wonder how long I could keep up a relationship with Toni. We are so different.

This morning at breakfast one of the horses edged her way into the kitchen. It looks so funny having a horse standing in the kitchen even if it is only 3 ft tall. Razzy the kitty aint takin no shit though, and certainly isnt about to let the horse eat his food.
