rogerdogerbad news on the van. Took it in this morning and got a call later today that its not the clutch but in the gearbox. he went to drain it and bits of gear came out! So looking at $700 just for a used gearbox, but worse is he can't find one. Here's one problem in living in a country with only 4 million people! So not sure if one will show up. A rebuild to my gearbox will be even more and means the van out of commission for some time. Only good news is since he didn't take the gearbox out I was able to pick the van back up and still drive with only 4 gears. It still crunches a bit in 1st 2 nd and reverse, but I dont think I can do any more damage and it is actually driving ok, just means no fast driving over 80kph.
Rode the bike from the mechanics back to camp site and then back over again in the afternoon. Legs felt totally flat. Came back and cleaned up the van and bit and then took a big 2 hour nap. Definitely think I reached my workout max the other day.
