Ran and swam again today. I ran really hard but with lots of rest breaks, took off in the swim and when Id finished felt really sick. Still feel like I could put in a really good year if I train right and hard. Funny I was recovering in the van from feeling sick and I see 4 mountain bikers ride in, one is really checking out my bike on the back of the van, which I would have rode today but the tires wont hold air, need to get slime to seal them and the bike shop I went to was closed down, like gone. Which brings me back to the 4 bikers. I got out of the van and there they are sitting have an ice cream sitting at the edge of the lake, and its my friend Maurice who I met the first year I came to Rotorua and works in the bike shop Id just tried to go to. He is from Oregon, but has been coming back to NZ the last few years too and is now married to Heidi who was also with him biking. Maybe this year we will go do something, as usually I only see him in the shop. he asked about going riding so maybe we'll do that.

Seems like I had a load of other things I wanted to say, but im tired and cant think. Oh one of them was that for the first time I went to sleep last night without coughing my lungs up and woke the same way, which is a relief, hopefully Im done with this damn cold. Rats, he says as he starts coughing again. :(

I will say one other thing. Its been so nice these last two runs to run in my high end Asiacs. Theres something to be said for proper running shoes. My cheap pair from Malaysia have no comfort at all, and so running with these is like running on marshmellows.
